Chief Executive of $500+ million charitable fund created by the New York Community Trust and United Way of New York City to provide assistance to victims of the September 11th terrorist attacks. Oversaw all fund operations and external affairs from eight months after its inception through its closure, almost five years after the attacks.

LEARNING LEADERS

Chief Executive of the oldest school volunteer program in the country, with a corps of 10,000+ volunteers in NYC public schools. Increased annual revenue by $1million, renamed and repositioned organization as leading parent involvement agency in the public schools, reorganized staff, created signature event, and brought energized new members to the Board.

THE LEONARD N. STERN FOUNDATION

Administered all grant-making and technical assistance activities for private foundation and its President, Leonard Stern. Reorganized governance of Homes for the Homeless, a $30 million+ provider of transitional housing in New York City.

Worked with Board and staff to refocus and reenergize a national non profit that administers the 85-year old Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, strengthen its finances and recruit and select the next permanent Executive Director.

CITY UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK

Started a new pilot program, Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP), funded by the Mayor's Center for Economic Opportunity, to recruit and enroll 1000 community college students, and improve graduation rates and job outcomes.

Served as Interim CEO of NYC non-profit that creates and sustains business/school partnerships in public schools; worked with Board to develop long term plan and conducted successful search for permanent CEO.
